Philip Scott has been teaching clarinet and saxophone at Cary School of Music for over 20 years, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Baldwin-Wallace University (Berea, Ohio). He began his music career teaching instrumental music (grades 5-12}. While living in the Cleveland area, Philip was a member of the Opus One Chamber Orchestra, and Blossom Festival Concert Band. After moving to Raleigh, he performed with groups such as the Triangle Wind Ensemble, and North Carolina Wind Orchestra. Currently, Philip is a member of Mimosa Woodwind Quintet, Windjammer Trio, and White Memorial Presbyterian Church handbell choir.
